Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. About these terms and the service
These terms govern the use of Infocam, an informational portal about cameras, phone cameras, photography and video technology, operated in the European Union. By using the site you accept these terms. The site is offered in English; for Bulgarian consumers, mandatory consumer rights under Bulgarian and EU law apply in addition.
2. Free service — consumer information (EU consumer law)
- Infocam is free of charge. There is no purchase, subscription, contract or payment obligation for readers.
- We do not sell products or services on the site; ratings, rankings and reviews are editorial opinion, not offers and not price quotations.
- Prices, release windows or specifications mentioned in articles come from public sources at the time of writing and may change without notice; always verify with the manufacturer before a purchase decision.
- Advertising keeps the service free; ads are labelled and never presented as editorial content.
3. Your account
Reading requires no account. Only the site operator and authorised administrators hold sign-in credentials for content management. You do not need to register to comment or review — a display name and a (never-published) email are enough.
4. Your content and prohibited use (statement of restrictions, DSA Art. 13–14)
You may submit text-only comments and reviews. The following content is not allowed and will be removed:
- Content illegal under EU or member-state law, including calls to violence, illegal goods and services, and infringements of intellectual property rights.
- Spam, advertising, promotional links, discount codes and referral schemes.
- Gibberish, keyboard-mashing or meaningless filler.
- Harassment, hate speech, insults and profanity.
- Off-topic submissions unrelated to cameras, imaging or photo/video technology.
- Attempts to upload files, embed media or bypass the text-only design.
5. Moderation, statements of reasons and internal complaint (DSA Art. 17, 20)
Submissions are checked by an automated moderation system before publication. When content is removed or rejected, you are shown a statement of reasons: a specific, machine-readable explanation of the decision. If you disagree, you may request internal complaint handling free of charge via the Moderation & Reporting form; a human reviews the decision and we inform you of the outcome and its grounds.
6. Reporting illegal content (notice-and-action, DSA Art. 16)
Anyone — whether or not a user of the service — can report content they consider illegal through the contact form on the Moderation & Reporting page. Notices must be sufficiently precise, include the location of the content and the reasons for the allegation. We act on valid notices without undue delay, notify the reporter of the decision, and keep records as required by the DSA.
7. Liability
The site is provided “as is”. We take reasonable care to publish accurate, up-to-date information but do not warrant its completeness or fitness for your particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability rules that mandatorily protect consumers remain unaffected.
8. Intellectual property
Site content is owned by Infocam or its sources and may not be reproduced wholesale without attribution and permission. Short quotations with a link are welcome. By submitting a comment or review you grant us the non-exclusive, worldwide right to publish it on the site.
9. Suspension and termination
We may remove prohibited content and, for serious or repeated violations, block the submission capability of the responsible user at the email level, in accordance with Art. 23 DSA and after a statement of reasons.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Bulgarian law and applicable EU law, without depriving consumers of the protection of mandatory rules of their country of residence. Consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) for disputes with a trader — although Infocam is a free informational service and typically no such dispute arises.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version is always available on this page with its “last updated” date.
